Why Run for Snellville City Council?
“I was prompted to run for the Snellville City Council Post 2 because I am very passionate about what is happening in our great city of Snellville and wish to make an even larger contribution. After living in several other countries, I have put down deep roots in our beautiful city of Snellville. I believe with my background and experience I have much to contribute. I very much want to make sure that all the cultures of our diverse community feel included and engaged. This is an exciting time in Snellville and I wish to be a part of all the wonderful changes to come.”
My Political Platform
Working with our school clusters to become more active in the community
Making sure our community is safe for all, and our quality of life remains high
Expanding unity of all our cultures in Snellville
Action Items
I assisted the LEADDS Foundation by finding constituents who were in need of temporary rental and utility assistance and whose employment income has been negatively impacted due to Covid -19
Presented Hank Reid, founder of LettumEat, Inc. – a Hunger Relief Organization, a Proclamation for his dedicated service in helping to combat hunger insecurities, not only in Snellville but its surrounding communities as well.
Snellville Census Count Project
I proposed a youth center for Snellville. As a matter of fact, that was part of my campaign platform. I decided to sponsor an organization, headed by Karen Foote, called Law Enforcement Agencies Assisting in the Development of Students ( LEAADS) Foundation to help with this project. At that time the Snellville City Council members didn’t think that a youth center was necessary within the city limits.
*Our city council will soon be implementing an after-school program in Briscoe Park.
